Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Approval To Commence Negotiations Between Malaysia Building Society Berhad (MBSB) And Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB)

On behalf of our Board of Directors (“Board”), we are pleased to announce that Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”) had vide its letter dated 6 April 2022, stated that it has no objection for MBSB to enter into discussions with PNB to explore the possibility of undertaking an acquisition of the 100% shareholding in Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (“MIDF”) which is held by PNB (“Proposed Transaction”). BNM’s approval is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of its letter.

Further details on the Proposed Transaction will be announced in due course.
