MALAYSIA BUILDING SOCIETY BERHAD (“MBSB” OR “COMPANY”)

(A) PROPOSED RENOUNCEABLE RIGHTS ISSUE OF NEW ORDINARY SHARES OF RM1.00 EACH IN MBSB (“MBSB SHARES”) (“RIGHTS SHARES”) WITH NEW FREE DETACHABLE WARRANTS (“WARRANTS”) (“PROPOSED RIGHTS ISSUE WITH WARRANTS”);

(B) PROPOSED CHANGE IN THE COMPOSITION AND INCREASE IN THE AUTHORISED SHARE CAPITAL OF THE COMPANY; AND

(C) PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION OF THE COMPANY

Further to the Company’s announcement dated 14 February 2011, on behalf of the Board of Directors of MBSB, RHB Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that the Company has today submitted the listing application to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) for the following:-

(a) admission of up to 507,087,462 Warrants to the Official List of Bursa Securities; and

(b) listing of and quotation for the following on the Main Market of Bursa Securities:-

    (1) up to 507,087,462 Rights Shares;

    (2) up to 507,087,462 Warrants; and

    (3) up to 507,087,462 new MBSB Shares to be issued upon exercise of the Warrants.
