| This announcement is dated 10 December 2013. Reference is made to the Company’s announcement dated 10 October 2013, 25 October 2013, 19 November 2013, 24 November 2013 and 10 December 2013 (“Earlier Announcements”) and the circular dated 25 November 2013 (“Circular”) in relation to the Proposed Rights Issue. Unless otherwise stated, defined terms in this announcement shall carry the same meanings as defined in the Earlier Announcements and Circular. The Rights Issue entails the issuance of up to 889,807,870 Rights Shares. The final number of Rights Shares to be issued will depend on the issued and paid-up share capital of MBSB on 26 December 2013. The Abridged Prospectus together with the Notice of Provisional Allotment and Rights Subscription Form (collectively, the "Documents"), are only to be despatched to shareholders whose names appear in MBSB' Record of Depositors as at 5.00 p.m. on 26 December 2013 ("Entitled Shareholders") at their registered address in Malaysia or who have provided the share registrar, Equiniti Services Sdn Bhd, with a registered address in Malaysia in writing by 5.00 p.m. on 26 December 2013. The Documents are not intended to (and will not be made to) comply with the laws of any country or jurisdiction other than Malaysia, are not intended to be (and will not be) issued, circulated or distributed in countries or jurisdictions other than Malaysia and no action has been or will be taken to ensure that the Rights Issue complies with the laws of any country or jurisdiction other than the laws of Malaysia.
