Reference is made to MBSB’s announcement dated 1 October 2015 in relation to the Proposed Merger (“Announcement”).

Unless otherwise stated, defined terms in this announcement shall carry the same meanings as defined in the Announcement.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of MBSB, AmInvestment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that MBSB had on even date submitted an application to Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”) for an extension of time from 30 December 2015 till 2 February 2016 for the parties to conclude the negotiations for the Proposed Merger.

MBSB has also been informed that DRB and Khazanah have also made similar applications to BNM on the same day.

Further announcements will be made as and when there are material developments pertaining to the Proposed Merger.
