Reference is made to the Company’s announcement dated 21 December 2016 in relation to the Proposed Merger.

The Board of Directors of MBSB (“Board”) wishes to announce that the Company had on 19 June 2017 submitted an application to Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”) within the stipulated timeframe, to seek the approvals of BNM and/ or the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia (“MoF”) for the Proposed Merger.

Further announcements shall be made upon receipt of the decision from BNM.
