The Board of Directors of MBSB wishes to announce that Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali will step down as Chairman of both MBSB and MBSB Bank Berhad, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MBSB on 6 February 2021. Encik Sazaliza bin Zainuddin will also step down as the Non-Independent Executive Director of MBSB Bank Berhad on the same day.

The new Board composition for MBSB Bank Berhad effective 7 February 2021 will be as follows:-

1. Datuk Johar bin Che Mat - Independent Non-Executive Director (“INED”)
2. Datuk Azrulnizam bin Abdul Aziz - INED
3. Encik Aw Hong Boo - Senior Independent Non-Executive Director
4. Puan Lynette Yeow Su-Yin - INED
5. Tunku Alina binti Raja Muhd Alias - Non-Independent Non-Executive Director
6. Dr. Loh Leong Hua - INED
7. Encik Kamarulzaman bin Ahmad - INED
8. Encik Arul Sothy Mylvaganam - INED

The appointment of the Chairman for MBSB and MBSB Bank Berhad, will announced on 1 March 2021.
